While walk-in wardrobes can be designed for various spaces, a truly comfortable design that allows two people to use it and includes an island often requires a minimum space of around 3.5m x 3.5m (11.5ft x 11.5ft). However, a functional U- or L-shaped dressing room can be designed in spaces as small as 2m x 2.5m (6.5ft x 8ft).

A luxury walk-in wardrobe typically utilises a mix. Open shelving creates a boutique aesthetic, making items easy to see and access. Closed drawers and cabinets are used for garments that need protection from dust (knitwear, delicates) or for concealed storage (underwear, jewellery), offering a clean, tidy appearance.

We offer a wide range of premium materials from: Fine Wood Veneers (e.g., walnut, smoked oak), Matt Lacquers, Glass and Mirror accents for doors, shelving, and drawer fronts to add luminosity. And Leather or Fabric inserts for drawer bases and accessory trays.

Yes, a central island is a signature feature of a full-service dressing room. They are custom-designed with glass tops to display jewelry and accessories, and include drawers for folded items. The space must be large enough to allow at least 90cm (3 feet) of clearance around all sides of the island.

Sophisticated integrated LED lighting is essential for any modern walk in wardrobe. Our options include: Vertical strip lighting (within the wardrobe structure), Shelf lighting (to illuminate clothing below) & Automatic drawer lighting (that turns on when the drawer is opened).

Krieder’s best selling accessories that define luxury functionality include: Pull-out trouser racks and belt racks, Custom jewellery trays with velvet lining and dedicated compartments, Glass-fronted drawers to view contents instantly and finally built-in laundry hampers or dry-cleaning baskets concealed behind a door.
